Samsung’s smartwatches get a hand-washing reminder and timer app

Samsung has introduced a hand-washing app to its Galaxy smartwatches that can send you reminders to scrub your hands and time you whilst you do so (by the use of SamMoblie). Google delivered identical options to Put On OS on April 14th.

The app, called “Hand Wash,” gives a 25-2nd timer for hand-washing. Samsung desires you to use the first 5 seconds of that timer to turn on the faucet and apply soap for your arms, after which use the next 20 seconds for the real washing of your hands below the water. Twenty seconds for hand-washing is in line with the sector Health Organization’s advice of ways long to scrub your hands. (Google’s timer for Wear OS, in contrast, counts down from FORTY seconds.)

Hand Wash also has preset reminders to clean your fingers that you can customize, Samsung says. Samsung has best announced Hand Wash on its press web page for India, but the app is now are living for Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Watch Energetic customers in the US, consistent with 9to5Google.
